Amber Bernier Scholarship Fund

The Amber Bernier Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 in memory of BUHS senior Amber Bernier who attended the Career Center Business Communications Technology program and was an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America (formerly called DECA) organization.  She is remembered for her thoughtfulness, beauty, unique style, kindness and commitment to her friends and family.

One or more scholarships will be awarded to a student or young adult interested in a career in cosmetology, the fashion industry or related fields.  In addition, applicants interested in other Career Center curricula such as early childhood education are encouraged to apply. Graduating seniors attending high schools throughout the region or other young adults interested in alternative means of furthering their education such as community college or trade programs are also encouraged to apply.

The Amber Bernier Scholarship awards are intended for students whose interests may not qualify them for other more traditional scholarships but are deserving of support.  The student’s demeanor and character as well as academic record, extra-curricular activities and financial need will be considered by the scholarship committee.

Applications are available at the BUHS Guidance Office as well as on this website. Students and youth who do not attend BUHS are also encouraged to apply.
